Most brands never touch the fabric they sell on. They buy finished garments from a trading company, put a label on, and hope. We do it the slow way: our manufacturing team buys yarn, commissions the knit, and inspects every roll before it reaches the cutting table.
What actually makes a fabric premium
It is not the weight on the tag. A 400 GSM fleece cut from short-staple yarn will pill in a month, while a 320 GSM knit from long combed cotton keeps its face for years. When you shop, turn the garment inside out and look at the yarn — long, even fibres and a tight, uniform knit are what you are paying for.
- Combed, ring-spun cotton over open-end — softer and far stronger
- Pre-shrunk fabric, or your perfect fit becomes a crop top after wash two
- Reactive dyes for colour that survives sunlight and laundering
Our rule of three
Every fabric lot we buy passes three gates: a hand-and-eye inspection under daylight lamps, a 30-minute wash-and-rub test, and a stretch-recovery check. Roughly one lot in eight fails and goes back. That ratio is the entire secret of garment quality — nothing else we do matters if the cloth is wrong.
Ask any brand who weaves their fabric. The answer tells you everything.
